The Youth AI Creator’s Academy: AI Filmmaking Edition is a hands-on, project-based program empowering young people to use AI responsibly and creatively to make short films for the global good.
This special February cohort is designed for youth interested in submitting work to the AI for Good Film Festival or creating powerful short films focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Youth AI Creator’s Academy – AI Filmmaking Cohort is a live, mentor-guided program designed to help young creators turn ideas into festival-ready AI-assisted short films — using ArtsEnvoy.ai as their primary creative toolkit.

A poet rooted in Latinx oral traditions and climate resistance. Luna guides youth in using poetry and spoken word to explore environmental justice, land, loss, and hope — and how creative AI can amplify climate stories without erasing lived experience.
Kito Mbala
Kito Mbala is a Congolese fashion designer and visual futurist whose work blends bold pattern, sculptural form, and African futurism. Drawing inspiration from street style, ceremonial dress, and speculative design, Kito helps youth explore how fashion can be storytelling — and how identity can be worn, not erased.
Ayla Skyweaver
Ayla Skyweaver is a young Indigenous music artist whose work blends ancestral rhythm, natural soundscapes, and future-leaning production. Drawing inspiration from land, sky, and memory, Ayla helps youth explore how music can carry culture, protect ecosystems, and imagine futures rooted in respect rather than extraction.
Jun Park
Jun Park is a data artist who transforms information into visual stories. Blending design, storytelling, and AI-assisted analysis, Jun helps youth explore how data shapes decisions — and how creative interpretation can humanize numbers, trends, and systems.
Yara Al-Hakim
Yara Al-Hakim is a poet whose work emerges from memory, exile, love, and survival. Writing from a Middle Eastern diasporic perspective, Yara helps youth understand poetry as witness — a way to document truth, grief, and resilience without spectacle.
Rowan Callahan
Rowan Callahan is an Australian wildlife photographer whose work centers on observing, documenting, and protecting the natural world - from reefs to deserts - telling stories that encourage protection rather than extraction.

The curriculum was created by Lisa Russell, Emmy-winning filmmaker and founder of ArtsEnvoy.ai, based on her 20-year career as a contracted filmmaker and arts curator in the UN space. It is delivered by a diverse group of youth AI Teaching Artists - avatars representing different youth in different creative disciplines. These digital mentors bring cultural relevance, artistic insight, and storytelling wisdom to every module.
